Legend Motor Co.’s “Signature Series” is a ground up reimagining of a legendary vehicle built for modern performance, ease of ownership, and a premium driving experience while still maintaining the timeless silhouette of one of the most iconic 4x4s of all time.

Founded by Nick Panos, Sawyer Carpenter, and James Frauenberg, Legend Motor Co. started with a simple idea: reimagining an iconic British 4x4 built for modern expectations using best-in-class American components. The Signature Series 001 proves their commitment to this vision as the first vehicle to roll out of the Salt Lake City shop.
Combining the archetypal design of the classic Land Rover Defender with cutting-edge performance technology, Legend Motor Co. has crafted a bespoke, luxurious, fully capable, and wholly unique off-road machine. Featuring an all-aluminum kevlar-lined body, modern Jeep JK chassis, GM LT1 6.2L E-Rod engine, and Fox 2.5 fully-adjustable remote reservoir shocks, the Signature Series 001 is a heritage-inspired 4x4 built with American muscle and ease of ownership in mind.
BODY & CHASSIS
Using a modern Jeep JK (four-door) chassis, the Signature Series 001 is built on a foundation of exceptional strength and time-tested reliability. The body is 100% all-aluminum enhanced with a proprietary Kevlar™ liner inside and underneath for extra protection and then color-matched to the exterior finish. A rugged Polyethylene 22.5-gallon fuel tank ensures ample fuel capacity for long journeys.
SUSPENSION & HANDLING
The Signature Series 001 is equipped with Fox factory race series 2.5 fully adjustable remote reservoir shocks. The coil-sprung multi-link suspension system delivers superior off-road capabilities. Precise stopping power is guaranteed through the oversized heavy-duty disc brakes from Wilwood on both the front and rear. The vehicle also boasts a 4.88 axle gear ratio for improved off-road capability and ARB air lockers on both the front and rear axles for enhanced traction control. It is equipped with 37x12.50r17 BFGoodrich KM3 mud-terrain tires for superior grip and durability, along with 17x8 steel wheels and Antirock sway bars on both the front and rear. The PSC heavy-duty power steering system ensures responsive handling in all conditions.
POWER & DRIVETRAIN
The drivetrain of the Signature Series 001 is powered by a GM LT1 6.2L E-Rod engine, compliant with 50-state emissions regulations, producing 455 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. torque. An option is available for the LT4 6.2L E-Rod engine, generating an astounding 650 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. torque. The vehicle is equipped with a highway-ready GM 8-speed automatic heavy-duty transmission and features an ATLAS II 3.8:1 all-aluminum transfer case with twin-stick operation for versatile off-road capabilities. The drivetrain is further enhanced with a four-row all-aluminum radiator with dual brushless electric fans for optimal cooling, a full stainless mandrel-bent TIG welded exhaust system, and Ultimate Dana 60 HD front and rear axles for strong and reliable performance.
INTERIOR & FINISHES
Inside the Signature Series 001, luxury, comfort, and simplicity have been well-considered with hand-sewn full-aniline open grain leather seats, including captain chairs up front, a second row bench, and jump seats in the rear cargo area. The modern heat and air conditioning from Resto-mod Air ensures passenger comfort in any climate. Custom Legend Motor Co. gauges provide precise and stylish instrumentation and a billet steering column with tilt function adds adjustable driving comfort. A Soundboks Bluetooth removable stereo system delivers high-quality audio entertainment, while "German square" leather-bound removable floor mats combine elegance and practicality. Rounding out the exterior is a swing-out tire carrier with a full 37" spare tire for added convenience and safety and a galvanized front bumper and trim that offer an original aesthetic and exceptional durability.

Legend Motor Co. is beginning to accept orders for a limited run of the Signature Series. Owners will undergo a one-on-one consultation with Legend Motor Co. to select from a wide range of available options and color ways to craft a truly one-of-a-kind vehicle. Each truck will be hand-built and documented to ensure that every detail is considered.
